EURO 2020 BAKU

On April 13, 2021, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed a decree to hold the EURO 2020 football championship games. In 2021, the capital of Azerbaijan will host three matches of A group, and one of the quarter-finals. But the good news doesn’t end there. The Azerbaijani side gives guarantees to allow 50 percent of viewers to play, and get visas easier for fans who come to the games. Tourists can easily obtain a visa from May 1 to July 5 at the checkpoints of the Azerbaijani border. Either the territory of entire Azerbaijan or the Olympic Stadium have all measures of social distance and personal hygiene products. The Olympic Stadium has a capacity of 70,000 viewers, which means that with 50 percent occupancy, the Games can be attended by up to 35,000 fans. Turkey, Switzerland and Wales will fight for the Cup in Baku. The games will take place on June 12 between wales and the Swiss national team, June 16 between the Turkish national team and the National Team of Wales and June 20 between the Swiss national team and the Turkish national team. The quarter-final will take place on July 3 at 18.00 Baku time. The Olympic Stadium is located near the Keroglu metro station, but it is impossible to get there at the moment, as the subway in Baku is no longer working for a long time because of the pandemic.
