The specifics of driving in Azerbaijan
There is an inextricable link between driving style and character. What his mood, in which country he grew up, with what people he met in life – these factors play a role in the specifics of driving a particular individual.
Here are a couple of examples of successful and unsuccessful driving styles, as well as how many drivers are called by local Azerbaijanis.
The brakes
These are people who always and everywhere brake (not pressing the brake pedal, but mentally)
People of this type believe that the road was exclusively made for them, being rebuilt from row to row without a turn signal. For them, the signs are not placed correctly and there are no other drivers nearby. The next type of driver is very similar to this one.
This is a 100% woman
The proposal itself speaks for itself – “100% is a Woman.” These are representatives of the male and mostly female, who always brake where they do not need it and press the gas where it is necessary to brake.
Often you can meet such drivers with a beaten front of the car. They, because of “urgent” purchases, park in the 2nd row, creating a lot of inconveniences and often causing traffic jams.
Bustler
Drivers who move along the road from row to row, cutting off absolutely everyone. Such “racers” are aggressive and angry at all drivers.
Among them are often “pregnant”, ready to give birth to this very minute. Once you stop for two seconds at the traffic lights, and they will not forgive such “disrespect”. They will overtake you, they will drive slowly in front of you on purpose and in addition to honk.
Adequate drivers
They are found quite rarely, and at the sight of the manner of their driving, and a smile on their faces I want to thank them for what they are! Such drivers can be asked for directions, in response to receive a detailed answer.
In Azerbaijan, there is hope that soon most of the drivers will be as friendly, kind and knowledgeable as the people who drive the road.
Senior citizen style
Such people are found on all the roads of our city and its borders. For some reason, these drivers go to the far left lane on a completely empty road, not responding to a car that signals and blinks at it with all possible methods, usually it just doesn’t see them, because it doesn’t look in the rear-view mirrors, it’s just for them does not exist. This driving style is inherent not only to the elderly but also to people in their prime.
Grateful driver
He will always thank you helping you with the emergency gang if you give him the way, and also warn you about the danger ahead or the pedestrian crossing the road in the wrong place, which you may not notice.
