The New Nissan X-Trail: First Spy Photos of the Next Generation
The first spy shots of the next-generation Nissan X-Trail have appeared online, giving us an early look at what the future model may look like. The X-Trail has been on the market since 2000, and today the fourth generation is still in production. Nissan previously confirmed that a completely redesigned version is on the way, and now the first test prototypes have been spotted.
The exterior will undergo noticeable changes: a trapezoidal grille integrated with the headlights, narrow horizontal light units, and LED running lights styled as five polygon-shaped elements on each side. The silhouette remains recognizable, though the wide rear pillars bring it visually closer to the latest Patrol. A longer roofline and extended rear overhang suggest a larger cargo area.
Technical specifications remain undisclosed, but the new X-Trail is expected to offer two hybrid powertrains, including Nissan’s signature e-Power system and a PHEV setup based on a 2.4-liter gasoline engine paired with two electric motors — similar to the configuration recently introduced in the Rogue PHEV.
While the new model undergoes testing, drivers in Baku can still enjoy the current generation, which is available for rent through Karavan Rent A Car. The company offers a wide selection of Nissan vehicles, including the reliable Nissan X-Trail. It is a versatile and comfortable option for city driving and longer trips across Azerbaijan. For anyone seeking car hire in Baku or dependable car rental services in Azerbaijan, Karavan Rent A Car remains a trusted choice.
