Karavan Rent A Car in Baku has launched the Traveler’s Club editorial series, opening it with a detailed guide to the Shamakhi district. The first piece in the series covers all the district’s key attractions within a single day from Baku.

The guide describes the Juma Mosque of 743 AD — the oldest in Azerbaijan — the Diri Baba Mausoleum (1402) carved directly into a cliff face, the Meysari organic winery with its European certification, and two unique attractions: an alpaca farm and a capybara farm. All of these are within 130 km of Baku and connect into one itinerary with about 1.5 hours’ driving time.

The material includes a timed route table, practical tips on dress code, cash, and booking requirements, and an honest assessment of what’s worth seeing and what can be skipped. The Traveler’s Club series will continue with new Azerbaijan routes.
