Katy Perry, Calvin Harris and Drivers Within Arm’s Reach: Karavan Publishes a Guide to Formula 1 Week in Baku

Formula 1 Week in Baku Guide: Concerts, Fan Zone, Road Closures

Karavan Rent A Car in Baku has published a guide to Formula 1 week in its Travelers Club — the tenth, anniversary Azerbaijan Grand Prix, held in Baku on 24–26 September 2026.

The week’s headline events are two concerts at Baku Crystal Hall. On Thursday, 24 September, Calvin Harris — Grammy winner and the man behind “Summer” and “One Kiss” — opens the Grand Prix. On Friday, 25 September, Katy Perry takes the stage. A curious detail: the two artists have recorded together, on the track “Feels”.

By day, life buzzes on the seaside boulevard. In the fan zone you can get behind a racing simulator, race to change a car’s tyres in the “Pit Stop” challenge, ride a zipline, take a selfie with the world championship trophy and put questions to drivers at the Fan Forums. Children get their own Grand Prix on mini electric cars. On stage: Pancho, Maya Aziz, Nicolas Mun, Nazreen, Tim and Vugarixx.

The guide also warns of difficulties: until 08:00 on 28 September the city centre is closed to cars, and stopping is banned even in the transit corridors. So during these days it’s best not to order a rental car to the centre or the Old City — collecting it at the airport is easier.

After the race, the guide’s authors suggest changing pace and heading out into nature: to Guba, Gabala or Sheki. For Grand Prix guests, code F1BAKU gives 10% off rentals of 7 days or more until 1 October.
