Karavan Rent A Car in Baku Publishes a Supplier Vetting Checklist for Corporate Procurement
Karavan Rent A Car in Baku has published a piece in its Association ACRA section aimed at corporate buyers: how to vet a rental company before signing a contract for multiple vehicles.
The company’s starting point is that corporate selection works differently from private choice. Reviews and ratings don’t apply, because a buyer has to present management with a document rather than an impression. What’s assessed isn’t the outcome but the system that produces it.
The piece sets out three levels of vetting. The first is ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certification, covering three distinct risk areas: unpredictable service, an unknown vehicle maintenance history, and a technically faulty car in the client’s employee’s hands. The second is membership of the ACRA association’s White List, with eight mandatory criteria verified annually. The third is seven contract clauses, from the replacement procedure on breakdown to the grounds for retaining a deposit.
The company separately sets out the structure in which a certificate is worth requesting from any supplier: the name of the certification body, its accreditation, the initial certification date, the date of the last audit, and the validity period. If even one element is missing or vaguely worded, that in itself answers the question of reliability.
Its own data is offered as a worked example: Karavan Rent A Car in Baku’s certificates were issued by Bureau Veritas with JAS-ANZ accreditation, initial certification was obtained in June 2016, the latest re-certification took place on 20 March 2026, and the certificates run until 31 December 2028.
The piece closes with an eight-item checklist including a “warning sign” column — from the answer “we work to standards” with no document, to the suggestion “we’ll sign on site, it’s all standard.”
