This policy explains which personal data Karavan Rent A Car (the website karavan.az) collects, what we use it for and which rights you have.
Who processes your data

What we collect
- When you book a car: your name, phone number, e-mail address, pick-up and drop-off dates and locations, the car you selected.
- When you sign the rental agreement: driving licence and identity document details — required by the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan and by insurance terms.
- When you pay: the payment is handled by a payment provider. Card details never reach our website and are not stored by us.
- Automatically: IP address, device and browser type, pages you opened, referring source — collected through cookies and web analytics.
Why we use it
- to process your booking and contact you to confirm it;
- to prepare and fulfil the rental agreement and arrange insurance;
- to issue an invoice and process payment;
- to comply with the law and respond to official requests;
- to improve the website and understand which offers interest our visitors.
Who we share it with
Only with those without whom the service is impossible: the payment provider, the insurance company, and state authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data and do not pass it to third parties for advertising.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses cookies to remember your language, the car you selected and your booking parameters. We also use Google Analytics and Google Ads, which collect anonymised visit statistics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the website will stop working.
How long we keep it
Booking and rental agreement data is kept for as long as the accounting and tax legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan requires. Enquiries that did not result in a rental are deleted within one year.
Your rights
You may ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected, withdraw your consent to marketing messages, or request deletion. Write to mail@karavan.az and we will reply within 30 days. Data we are legally obliged to keep cannot be deleted before the statutory period expires.
Social networks
We run pages on Facebook, Instagram and Odnoklassniki. Posts are published there automatically from our website. If you write to us in direct messages or comments, your data is also processed under the rules of that social network.

We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page.
