Karavan Rent A Car in Baku Publishes a Land Rover Rental Guide: Two Generations of Range Rover and the Defender P400

Land Rover Rental in Baku: Range Rover and Defender

Karavan Rent A Car in Baku has added a Land Rover guide to its blog, covering all four Land Rover SUVs in the company’s fleet.

The Land Rovers for rent:

  • the latest, fifth-generation Range Rover, whose rear wheels steer too, giving it a turning circle of under 11 metres, according to Land Rover;
  • two previous-generation Range Rovers, a model Land Rover billed as the world’s first SUV with a lightweight all-aluminium body;
  • the 400 PS Defender 110 P400, which the manufacturer says reaches 100 km/h from a standstill in 6.1 seconds.

All four have a 3.0 petrol engine, an automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. Each one takes five people and five suitcases.

What the guide covers:

  • a table comparing the four cars’ length and wheelbase;
  • the brand’s history, from a sketch in the sand in 1947 to the Range Rover that went on display at the Louvre in 1971;
  • matching the car to the trip: a negotiation or a VIP pick-up, a wedding motorcade, mountain routes to Guba, Gabala and Shahdag;
  • answers to common questions, such as which licence you need for a Range Rover or a Defender and whether the Defender suits a trip with children.

The company follows the brand’s new models and plans to add new Land Rovers to its fleet.

There’s no need to collect the car from an office: at any hour, it is delivered to Heydar Aliyev International Airport, a hotel or another address, where a delivery service manager hands over the keys and the contract. There are two ways to go without a deposit: full “All Risks Zero” cover, or the “No Deposit” service on top of standard insurance. Rentals start from one day, or from three if the route heads to remote districts.

Detailed specs and advice on matching a Land Rover to your route are in the Land Rover rental article on the company’s website.
